No, these images are not a product of x-ray scanner, neither of Photoshop hue and saturation tool, (designer's joke).
All specimens were alive at some point before meeting with japanese artist Iori Tomita, who according to wired.com -Tomita first removes the scales and skin of fish that have been preserved in formaldehyde. Next soaks the creatures in a stain that dyes the cartilage blue.-
A pretty cool mix of science and art.
